Player of the Decade

Starting with Season 11, players will qualify to play Decade II contest.  Each season, the following players will become eligible:

1. Player of the Year

2. Season Champion (i.e. winner of Tournament of Champions)

3. Main Event Champion (i.e. winner of the Main Event)

No league contribution will be collected from Season 11-15 pool.  Season 16 and onwards may contribute to the Decade pool. 

At the end of Season 10, the following players will play a special tournament to nominate the Player of the Decade:

• 1. Player of the Year for Season 2 to 10 

  2. Champion of Champions for Season 1 to 10

To qualify for the special tournament, players must attend at least five (5) tournaments in every season following their qualification [starting with Season 8]. Otherwise, they will be required to pay $50 for each season they do not attend at least five tournaments.

Every player attending Main Event for Seasons 7 through 10 shall contribute $20 to Player of the Decade prize pool. In addition, every buy-in from Seasons 8-10 shall contribute $5/player to the prize pool.  

Tournament format shall be as below, subject to change:

• 1. Buy-in: $200 (plus $50/season where player does not attend at least five tournaments)

-- A double qualification reduces the buy-in by $50/qualification.

• 2. Starting stack: T30000

  3. Blind levels: 25 minutes

  4. No rebuy or add-on

  5. No chip bonus for duplicate qualification

  6. Special 10-Year trophy awarded
